Gracioso "Sham"

15.2hh 2004 grey Azteca B gelding (Registered Half Andalusian, can also be registered Iberian Warmblood and Iberian Sport horse).  2004 Reserve Champion Half Andalusian Colt 2 and under, 2005 Champion Half Andalusian Colt 2 and under.  Sham is a very willing, athletic and intelligent horse with an outstanding personality.  

Sham is going well w/t/c and jumping 2ft 6 courses-has the scope to go a lot higher but we are not pushing him due to his age. Sham scored 65.5% on his first dressage test with only 6 mo of training.  No spook or stop over fences, he is very steady-a great confidence builder. Showing at the Pre-Entry level in eventing. Easy enough for a junior/young rider to finish with the help of a trainer.  Has done parades and drill performances, and loves trail/road rides. UTD on vaccinations, feet, etc.  Loads easy, great feet, no vices. Sham has the potential to do the mid-upper levels for eventing/hunters/jumpers or dressage; he is a very well rounded horse, especially for his age.  Sham can pack around a beginner/novice rider, give a pony ride or go out and gallop cross country with an junior/amateur on him.  Sham is in show condition and will continue to be shown until sold. Felmer Eamor of High River, Alberta, made a saddle in 1955 just prior to him being inducted into the Saddlemaker’s Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, ColoradoColorado (one source says he was inducted in 1956 while another states 1963).  At that time he did not put a number on his saddles but the saddle has “F Eamor – Maker – High River, Alta. in the leather.  This saddle has been owned by only one person and is in mint condition. Cutting horse rawhide tree and can be used for roping Full grain leather with ¾ rigging Horn 4” diameter cap and 3-1/2” tall Padded inlay seat 16” Cantle has Cheyenne roll and cantle is 4-1/2 “ high and 12” long

Saddle is smooth black leather, canvas underneath, extra long flaps, both canvas and sheepskin covers Girth, crupper, stirrup leathers, 1 pair of Espanola chrome stirrups

The saddle was made in Salamanca, Spain, the tree would conform to the horse as it is made out of willow wood.  They make one tree size and it is adjusted according to the flocking in the substantial panels.The width has been increased a bit when it was made, but it is still to narrow for a 16.1 hand horse, with a substantial body.  About 16 to 16-1/2" seat.
